The Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens is a center for Japanese arts

The Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens can be described as a place for Japanese art and culture situated to the west to the west of Delray Beach in Palm Beach County, Florida, United States. The campus comprises two museum buildings, including the Roji-en Japanese Gardens: Garden of the Drops of Dew as well as the bonsai garden library, gift shop, library, and a Japanese restaurant known as the Cornell Cafe which has been shown by The Food Network and Vizcaya Television. The rotating exhibits are on display in both of the buildings. Demonstrations of tea ceremonies, as well as classes, are held within the central building. Traditional Japanese festivals are celebrated multiple times throughout the year. The museum and park have been named after George Morikami, a native of Miyazu, Japan, who donated his farm to Palm Beach County to be utilized as an open-air park. George Morikami was the only person from the Yamato Colony, Florida to remain at Delray Beach after World War II. He initially proposed to donate his land to Delray Beach, but the City of Delray Beach declined. The museum was inaugurated in 1977 in an old building, which is now known as the Yamato-kan. The museum's main building began operations in 1993. The Roji-en garden construction started in 1993. Morikami Park, which includes the museum, covers 188.5 acres. Click here
